Project: Aesop Pitt Street
There are few storefronts as quietly commanding as an Aesop window. For a brand whose stores have become architectural landmarks in their own right, where every material, every surface and every detail is chosen with care and intention, the visual language of a product launch installation carries real weight. When Aesop approached Studio Enti to mark the Sydney launch of their Seeking Silence Facial Hydrator at their Pitt Street Mall store, the brief called for something that could hold its own in that considered world.
Studio Enti was commissioned to create a bespoke installation of delicate handmade ceramic pieces, designed by Aesop and suspended in the store window. Working closely with Aesop's visual merchandising team, Naomi brought her craft directly into the retail space, translating the quiet, restorative spirit of the Seeking Silence range into three-dimensional form. The collaboration was a careful and considered one; the installation needed to honour Aesop’s bold sensibility while speaking to the peace that comes with silence-seeking. The ceramic pieces, with their organic forms and soft translucency, offered exactly the kind of tactile stillness the launch called for.
The result was a window that invited pause. The organic shapes caught and diffused the light in the way only handmade ceramics can. Each piece carried the subtle variations of its material and for this stunning storefront installation on busy Pitt Street, Naomi and the Studio Enti team's work found a natural home.
